CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
I cannot tell you how great it was to work with Cingo. Their professionalism, quality of product and visual impact on our development is unparalleled. We took a boring garage and turned it into an advertising opportunity for our tenants, while simultaneously protect both our concrete columns and customer cars from scrapes and scratches. Nothing makes a garage look worse than the inevitable impacts with tires or car paint over time, impacting the appearance and requiring ongoing maintenance.

Questions About Parking Column Protection, Wayfinding and Advertising
What are Cingo column wraps?
Cingo column wraps are custom-made protective covers that fit around the structural columns in a parking garage. Each has a foam interior and a smooth, opaque, flexible commercial-grade PVC exterior, so the wrap cushions contact from cars and carries printed graphics. They are made in the USA, based on a design from a European engineer that has become a benchmark in parking decks across Europe. Cingo has installed wraps in about 2,000 parking garages worldwide. See the full specifications on our column protector product page.
Do column wraps actually protect cars and concrete?
Yes, for the everyday contact that damages garages: car doors swinging into columns, bumpers brushing a corner, and the scrapes that leave paint on concrete. The foam core absorbs that impact, so the column and the car both take less damage, which also reduces the liability claims that follow. A wrap is not a crash barrier and does not stop a vehicle moving at speed. Our page on asset and vehicle protection explains what the wrap does and does not cover.
Can a parking garage make money from column wraps?
Yes. The same wraps that protect the columns can carry advertising and sponsorship, selling space to local and national brands that want to reach people on their way into a destination. Cingo describes this as turning overlooked infrastructure into a branded, revenue-generating asset. Revenue depends on traffic, dwell time and the number of columns, and Cingo quotes projects individually. Read the full guide to parking garage column wrap advertising.
What kinds of businesses use Cingo wraps?
Cingo works with investors, architects and developers, property management companies, valet operators and vehicle owners. Typical settings include shopping centers, mixed-use developments, hotels, airports, hospitals and universities, with a guide for each: hospital, university and airport garages. One development partner, Brent Beecham of Market District Development, says the wraps turned a boring garage into an advertising opportunity for tenants while protecting columns and customer cars.
How do column wraps help with wayfinding?
Wraps sit at eye level beside the driving lane, which is where lost drivers look. Facilities use them to print level numbers, zone names and arrows, color-code sections, and mark reserved, valet and monthly parking. That helps first-time visitors, reduces circling, and supports safety by making exits and walkways easier to follow. Because the wrap is printed to your design, the wayfinding can match your brand, and sponsor messaging can share the same column if you choose.
How are the wraps installed, and do they damage the building?
No. Cingo wraps are installed without drilling or fixtures, so the concrete is not altered. The process is managed end to end: a survey of your columns, design of the graphics, printing and production, shipping, and installation, with testing on location. Because each wrap is made to measure, it fits snugly and does not shift, which Cingo notes reduces the risk of damage from movement. Typical installation timelines depend on the number of columns, so ask for a schedule against your date.
What shapes and sizes of columns can you wrap?
Wraps are custom made for square, rectangular, beveled, oval, round, hexagonal and octagonal columns. Typical height is 5 feet, with a maximum of 8 feet. The first step is a survey of your actual columns, so the wrap is cut to their real dimensions rather than a standard size. If you have columns with unusual details, such as beveled corners or attached fixtures, mention them in your first conversation so the survey can plan for them.
How long do the wraps last and what maintenance do they need?
Cingo’s estimated lifespan is 10 to 20 years, depending on traffic and how often vehicles contact the columns. The materials are water resistant and fire retardant, and the exterior is a flexible PVC banner material. Because the wrap protects the concrete from scrapes, it can reduce how often columns need repair and repainting. Our column protection versus concrete repair article compares the long-term cost of each approach.
Are the wraps fire rated, and do they block fire exits?
Cingo wraps are fire retardant and are fitted around the column without drilling, so they do not block exits or alter the building. Local fire codes differ, and a fire marshal can ask for documentation, so request the product’s fire documentation from Cingo before ordering and share it with your authority having jurisdiction. Placement is planned during the survey, and wayfinding graphics can help guide people toward exits.
How much do column wraps cost?
Cingo does not publish a price list because cost depends on the number of columns, their size and shape, the artwork, and whether the project includes advertising or sponsorship. We prepare a quote for each project. To get one quickly, send the garage location, the number of columns you want wrapped, and the goal (protection, wayfinding, advertising or all three) through the contact form at the bottom of this page.
How is a wrap different from steel bollards, rigid guards or repainting?
Steel and rigid polymer guards are built to resist impact, but they are hard objects, and neither is designed to carry a branded graphic. Repainting has to be repeated every time a column is scraped. A foam-core wrap cushions contact, protects the paint on the car as well as the concrete, and doubles as a branded surface. Wraps are not crash barriers, so garages that need vehicle barriers still need them. See our product comparison for the details.
How do I get started?
Contact us with your garage’s location, the number of columns, and what you want the wraps to do. Cingo surveys the columns, designs the graphics, produces and ships the wraps, and installs them. If you want advertising, we can talk through how to sell or sponsor the space, and the guides on this site walk through the options for hospital, university and airport garages. Use the contact form at the bottom of this page to request a quote.
